MB Dynamics, Inc. in Bedford Heights, Ohio seeks Software Product and Engineering Development responsible for developing software product / system specs for new MB test & measurement products and improvements to existing products; closely cooperate with customers, Application Engineers, and internal engineering team members; consider quality, cost, ease-of-use, high reliability, lead time, maintainability, and supportability; Assist in the design of vibration and shock test, calibration, acoustic analysis, and motion control systems by consulting with mechanical & electrical engineers; Implement software requirements individually or in conjunction with other MB software engineers. Implementation will include design, coding, and functional test validation; testing should be in conjunction with Application Engineers; Program in LabVIEW, C, C++, and/or LabWindows CVI; Work with software development in Linux and Windows environment; Work debuggers Eclipse, Visual Studio 2010, etc and tool chains like GCC; Develop probabilistic models for dynamic control systems; Responsible for internal documentation, user-documentation, installation of systems, and software backups; Maintain and support existing software products written in the above languages and add features as directed; Develop proficiency in the control of linear and rotary motors for dynamic force, velocity, and acceleration applications; develop GUIs for control; Support manufacturing personnel who make, integrate and/or test products for which you are responsible; Work with mechanical, pneumatic, electronics, controls, structural, electrical and hydraulic technologies, coordinate software projects and deliverables and performance with other engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service and management at MB; Contribute to software design and implementation projects performed by other MB software engineers; Visit customer sites and professionally interact with them for various reasons (e.g., understand their jobs-to-be-done, installation, training, Alpha/Beta testing, etc); and Create test cases for validation and verification of systems.
Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years as a Systems Test Engineer, Software Engineer, or Software Developers. Must also have experience with Program in LabVIEW, Program in Matlab, C, C++, and LabWindows CVI, Linux Development, Windows Development, GCC, Visual Studio, Probabilistic Model Based approach, Open source tools, test cases creation for validation and verification systems. 5% U.S. travel required
